Escudes Sabot

On our 23 HA large domain we rent out 2 gites and a part of the Chateau as 3 de Gite, or in parts up to 3 independent rental units. In total we can accommodate up to 18 guests. The 2 gites are located in the U-shaped building on the left side of the Chateau. The estate was built in 1754 as a hunting lodge for nobility from Toulouse. The building of the Gites used to be the lodgings of the staff, who took care of the dogs and horses. When hunting disappeared and the lands were transformed into arable farming, the lands of Escudes became plum and apricot orchards. During your stay, we will gladly show you the remains of this era.
Wooden Shoe has a private garden with garden furniture and a covered terrace that provides shade. The garden gives a view of the estate.
You enter the gite through the covered terrace, behind it the door to the new kitchen which is fully equipped (fridge, freezer, dishwasher, oven, electric cooker, nespresso machine). There is also a cosy breakfast bar. To the right of the front door is the very spacious living room with separate large dining area. The wood stove in the living room makes this house also very suitable for stays outside the summer season. The living room has 2 sets of doors that open onto the terrace. The bedrooms are adjacent to the kitchen. The 5th bed is in a space between the bathroom and one of the bedrooms. The bathroom has a rain shower, sink and toilet. All beds are very luxurious boxsprings. On request, the single beds can also be made up as double beds. The washing machine and dryer are in a space between the 2 gites and can be used by the guests of the 2 gites. At the swimming pool there are sufficient sun beds. There is a pool bar, where it is very pleasant to stay.
The park with beautiful old trees, including already far from the perimeter to see the "pin parasols". A private pond and lake, the miles of hiking trails, tennis court, beautiful pool, make you actually during your stay do not have to go anywhere. But with 2 beautiful cities Montauban at 31 km and Toulouse at 46 km with their beautiful history and cozy terraces, these will certainly be visited. Not to mention the many historic villages where in the summer plenty of fêtes gourmandes (local food festivals) and vides grenier (flea, bric-a-brac markets) are held.
Because of the central location of the estate (30 minutes from the motorway and 40 minutes from the Blagnac airport of Toulouse) you get to see a beautiful piece of southern France which is reminiscent of Tuscany in terms of nature.
