The house
The Gîte du Pignou can accommodate up to 6 people. You have a living room of about 40 m2, furnished with a table, 6 chairs, a spacious lounge with coffee table, flat screen TV and WIFI connection, DVD player and Hifi, board games and some books and magazines. The living room has an alcove with a 190x140 sofa bed.
The living room has access to an outdoor terrace with a pergola and lighting, including a dining table and chairs for 6 people. It also has a barbecue (Weber).
The kitchen is fully equipped. Fridge with freezer, dishwasher, filter and Nespresso coffee machine, oven, microwave, induction cooker, extractor hood, toaster, etc. It has a table for 4 people.
The back kitchen houses the downstairs WC as well as all the cleaning equipment, hoover, broom, bucket, iron, clotheshorse...etc
By the very large staircase you reach the first floor which houses the bedrooms, a bathroom and separate toilets.
The large suite of 36 m² is south and west facing and is equipped with a large bed (200 x 160), a dressing room, a large chest of drawers and a desk. It has its own bathroom with double basins, a towel dryer and a very large "Italian" shower.
The second bedroom of 22 m2, facing South, is equipped with two beds of 190 by 80, which can be joined or not. It has a wardrobe, a small desk and bedside tables. It gives access to a platform with a reading corner.
The separate 16 m² bathroom has a large bathtub, a double washbasin unit and is equipped with a washing machine and a dryer.
All rooms have electric radiators.
A baby bed and high chair are available on request.

Le Pignou is an old winegrower's farmhouse dating from the middle of the 19th century, perched on the top of the Gaillacois hillsides.
Calm and serenity in the heart of the vineyards with an exceptional view of the Tuscan countryside.
It is a large Mas, divided into 2, the gîte having its own entrance, parking and large garden, totally independent and not overlooked.
The house is surrounded by vineyards, with a dominant view that leads the eye to the Montagne Noire and the Pyrenees. Our first neighbours are 500 metres away, so you can enjoy the peace and quiet without being isolated. In the evening you have a view of the twinkling lights of Gaillac which is 5km away on the banks of the Tarn.
The garden and surrounding area is a playground for deer, hares, partridges, squirrels, martens .... and a multitude of bird species.
Situated on the top of the hills, we always benefit from a small breeze, which avoids too much heat in the middle of summer, and displeases the mosquitoes which are rare in Pignou.

The town of Gaillac is located in what is known as the "Golden Triangle" which links Gaillac to Albi and Cordes-sur-Ciel. It is one of the oldest vineyards in Gaul. The culture of the vine, imported into Gaul by the Phoenicians four centuries before Christ, has developed and continues to this day. The 'Vins du Coq' brand has existed since 1397 and was officially recognised in 1501. It is without doubt the oldest wine brand in the wine world.
Today, new winegrowers have taken over the reins and brought their enthusiasm and desire to innovate. Through events, aperitif-concerts, tastings in Gabarre and at the estates, festivities and fairs, they share their passion in a joyful and good-humoured way.
Activities
Located in the heart of the vineyards, an ideal starting point for walks and hikes, on foot or by bike. Water sports centre 5 km away, golf course 8 km away, hot air balloon and ULM rides.
Historically and culturally a region rich in heritage, Toulouse, Albi with its largest brick cathedral in the world, and many picturesque villages voted among the most beautiful in France, Cordes-sur-Ciel, Puycelsi, Castelnau-de Montmiral, Ambialet, Lautrec ...etc.
The Gaillacois vineyards, the oldest in France, allow you to visit the estates with a special welcome from the wine growers. In the summer, they organise festive aperitif-concerts which are much appreciated.

Deposit or Caution :
A deposit of 300 € will be paid by the tenant on arrival. This deposit will be returned at the end of the stay.
