The house
Le Soleil is a luxurious and romantic double gîte (flat) located on the first floor with its own front door. Absolutely zen is the right word for this with luxury reclining chairs, the beautiful view at the front and a lovely balcony at the back. In short, you have complete privacy. New is our air conditioning in the room, wonderfully cool and pleasantly warm in winter.
Honeymoon or another festive occasion? We transform your room into a lovely love nest. This room has a double four-poster bed (two mattresses with a two-person topper) and is fully electrically adjustable. This cottage has a lovely whirlpool bath. You can of course use our breakfast and dinner service. On special request, breakfast can be delivered to your room for an extra charge.

Residence La Salamandre is located in the middle of the golden triangle of the Tarn and is part of the Carthaginian region.
There are many things to do and to see here. At 40 minutes of la Salamandre you can find among others the beautiful pink city Toulouse and the historical Albi (world heritage Unesco). The picturesque authentic villages Castelnau de Mont Mireille and Bruniquel are excellent for lunch and a nice walk. There is also a market every day in the neighbourhood and from May to October, festivals, brocante and flea markets are organised everywhere. Also for children there is plenty to do in the area such as beautiful swimming lakes with climbing tracks and water skiing.
There are five golf courses nearby for beginners and advanced players.

Restaurants, food & wine
Residence La Salamandre is situated on the route de Saurs, the route that runs through the vineyards. There are about 30 vineyards nearby where you can taste and buy wine every day for a normal price (on average about 6€ for a bottle). The first weekend in August is the Gaillac wine festival, where all the vintners present their wines and you can taste them. The second weekend in November Gaillac primeur is presented and then there is a party at all the wineries with food and local markets. Also in terms of food you are well off in this region, it is characteristic of this area that all restaurants are open with lunch and evening often only Friday and Saturday.
Activities
Residence La Salamandre is situated on a mountain bike, cycling and walking route. From very flat routes to very hilly/mountainous routes. Nearby vineyards with delicious wines, horse riding, golf, canoeing and of course many beautiful cities such as Albi and Toulouse.
Also a massage relax or hold cold stone belongs to the possibilities.
Every day it is also possible to visit a regional, antique and flea market.
If you are interested in a painting course, this is also possible from 12 June to 16 June under the guidance of Marja Ouwerling.

Further remarks
It is possible to put together a package for you starting from three days, including meals and various experiences such as working with leather for half a day, a visit to the star guard and wine tasting in various wineries.
The total capacity of la Salamandre is 28 persons. The gites are suitable for two, six, twelve or 18 people. By widening the sliding doors and sound-absorbing panels, the ground floor can be transformed into a large living room.
La Salamandre is also ideal for training and team building weekends. There are many sports practised nearby in the beautiful large sports hall and fields in Rabastens, such as: badminton, handball, volleyball, jeu de boule and rugby.
