Hors des Brumes

The charming old traditional sheep barn, converted into a gîte, is separated in all respects from the adjoining farmhouse with owners' courtyard.
From the gite, you have beautiful views and in the morning you regularly look out over the valleys still covered in mists , ''hors des brumes''.
France's most beautiful villages such as Cordes sur Ciel and Najac are within half an hour, as are many activities. The beautiful valley of the Viaur is a 10-minute walk away.
The gite (like the farmhouse) is built entirely of the original 60 cm thick walls of natural stones from the region. The roof construction is made of oak and chestnut wood from the immediate vicinity and fitted with the original old slates.

The main entrance gives direct access to the very spacious and cosy living space. Here you will find a comfortable sitting area with lounge sofa and TV, game corner, bookcase, dining table and a very spacious modern kitchen. The bar top adjacent to the kitchen allows for socialising while cooking. A heavy oak plank floor covers most of the "sheepfold". The walls are in lime with exposed stones.
The living area has a large wood-burning stove, which makes for cosy evenings in spring and autumn.
Wifi is freely available in and around the house.
Using Apple Air Play or Smart view, you can watch TV on your phone.

The kitchen
The kitchen is equipped with a 90 cm cooker with induction hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine.
All necessary kitchen utensils are present as well as an ample supply of glassware and crockery.

Balcony and terraces
French doors lead from the kitchen/dining area to a 7m x 3m wooden balcony with spectacular views over the valley. There is a spacious dining table.
From the downstairs hall is a spacious covered terrace with lounge sofas, a dining table and a barbecue. You have complete privacy here.

Bedrooms
From the living area, stairs lead down to the three bedrooms.
The bedrooms stay cool even during long periods of heat and are decorated with attention.
The beautiful original elements such as oak beams and natural stone walls have also been preserved here.
The two large bedrooms have an external door.
Bedroom 1: a 2.00 x 1.80 double bed and adjoining bathroom with both a bathtub and a spacious separate shower and toilet. A door opens onto a private terrace in the garden.
Bedroom 2: a double bed of 2.00 x 1.80 and an adjoining bath and toilet. A door leads to the inner courtyard of the farmhouse.
Bedroom 3: two single beds followed by a shower and toilet. It is possible to put these beds together!
All rooms have a dressing table and closet space and atmospheric lighting.

Gardens and swimming pool
Over 6 hectares of meadows and woods with oak and chestnut trees belong to the farm. About one hectare is fenced as a garden with a large lawn, ponds, play area and various seating areas .
(Wild) flowers abound, especially in spring.
A separate, carefully landscaped garden surrounds the swimming pool. This pool, with roman steps, is sunny all day and has breathtaking views. The pool is 10m x 4.5m and up to 1.8m deep in the middle. There are sunbeds, umbrellas, seating areas, an outdoor shower and a gazebo with fridge.
The pool is at guests' disposal from morning to evening. Incidentally, (visitors of) the owner can also use the pool.

For children (and adults who still feel like children) there is a swing on a tree branch. For game lovers, there is a ping-pong table and a giant chess set by the pool.
And ..........er is plenty of nature to play in.

You can take beautiful walks and bike rides directly from the house. The Viaur valley is just a 10-minute walk away.
