The house
The flat is spacious, reasonably tightly furnished and and cosy. The apartment building is located between the "Basse Corniche" (the coastal road from Nice, via Monaco to Menton) and the sea. As it is a bit below the coastal road, it is wonderfully quiet. At the front of the apartment is a spacious balcony with comfortable chairs from where you overlook the valley and the sea. This is a great place to relax with a glass of rose! From the living room you look out over the green slope on the other side of the property. So there is no overlooking. The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped. At the back is the bedroom with plenty of cupboard space, a comfortable double bed and you walk out from here onto the back terrace. There is also a cosy seating area here. Guests can use the swimming pool that belongs to the complex. Again this year, we managed to get a private parking space inside the gate.

Golfe Bleu is situated between the coast road and the sea. The train station is less than 10 minutes walk and the bus stop is also nearby (coast road 250m, local bus next to the gate) so you can also get around without a car. Nice airport is half an hour's drive away but also easily accessible by train and tram or by bus. Monaco is 2 km away and is easy to walk to via the coastal path. The nearest supermarket is in St Roman, just before Monaco or in Carnoles (against Menton).

Leuk appartement met een mooi uitzicht vanaf het balkon! Goede bedden en keuken is van alle gemakken voorzien. En we hebben ook de wasmachine gebruikt. Een kritische noot: de douchecabine is aan vervanging toe en ziet er niet schoon uit. Ideale ligging voor bezoek aan Monaco, Menton, Nice etc. 5 minuten lopen naar treinstation en ook naar 2 strandjes. Er is op loopafstand geen restaurant of supermarkt aanwezig. We zijn al vaker aan de Côte d’Azur geweest en komen ook zeker weer terug. Het is een prachtig gebied, waar veel te doen en te zien is.

Wat een geweldige vakantie hebben wij hier gehad! Het appartement is heerlijk en van alle gemakken voorzien: oven, airco, smart tv, wasmachine, droger en een heerlijk regendouche. Het balkon aan de voorkant kijkt mooi uit over zee. Ook super fijn dat er er een parkeerplek op het terrein is! Het bed was opgemaakt en er lagen handdoeken voor ons klaar. Erg fijn na zo'n lange reis! Wat wij ook prettig vonden was de sleuteloverdracht. Door chaos op de weg waren wij een uur later dan gepland voor de overdracht. We stonden in nauw contact met Cindy van Fox Keys. Zij ging hier gelukkig heel flexibel mee om en was heel vriendelijk.
In de omgeving valt genoeg te beleven. Italië is op steenworp afstand en er zijn genoeg leuke dorpen/steden in de buurt. Elke dag was weer een feestje om wakker te worden in deze prachtige omgeving!
Wij komen in de toekomst zeker nog een keer terug!
Restaurants, food & wine
In the region there is much to enjoy in the culinary field, from deliciously simple to the highest culinary achievable; eating socca and farcis on a wooden bench in the old town of Nice, a whole-many-course menu on Sunday in the hinterland of Ventimiglia, cosy restaurants in the narrow alleys of Roquebrune-village (au Grand Inquisiteur), the best pizza of Menton at Le Fellini in Carnoles or that one time for a very special occasion at Mirazur in Menton-Garavan (you have to save up).
Just behind Nice in Bellet, wine is produced, good but pricey and you don't see them in restaurants very often. In summer, it's roses from the Var king and for good reason! Even closer, fine wines are made just across the border. In Airole a visit to "A Trincea" is certainly worthwhile. Also in Doleaqua they make delicious Rossese wines (Terre Bianche).
The (food) market in Ventimiglia is definitely worth a visit; the vegetables are beautiful and a lot cheaper than in France and the fresh pasta.... If you are there anyway, drive to the end of the boulevard and have lunch at Da Daniele on the beach (fish).
Walking distance: Just above the plage Cabbe (10 min) is the restaurant "la Cabane" where it is good in the summer. closed in the winter. Towards the station during the day is an excellent sandwich shop. You can of course also order a meal via the well-known (and less well-known) providers. By train you are in a few minutes in Menton or Monaco

Activities
You are here in the heart of the Cote d'Azur and can visit all the famous seaside resorts, but also drive into the mountains where you can make beautiful walks. Monaco is 5 minutes away, Menton 10 minutes and Nice 30 minutes. From Golfe Azur you can walk to the 2 beaches of the Bay of Cabbe in 10 minutes.
The apartment building also has a swimming pool that guests can use.
The huge Friday market in Vintimiglia (IT) is a must for all bargain hunters. As the train station of Roquebrune-Cap Martin is less than 10 minutes walk away, it is highly recommended to take the train. Between Menton and Monaco, a beautiful footpath winds along the coast with views towards Italy and Monaco. You are on the path and can make the walk and if it gets too hot to walk back, come back by train or bus.
Just before San Remo, a 45 minutes' drive away, a cycle path starts which was built on the old coastal railway line. You cycle between the mountainous coast and the sea and there are numerous opportunities to stop at bars and restaurants. Bicycles can be hired at various places along the path.

Further remarks
We managed to rent a parking space inside the gate again this year (until mid-October). You thus have a private parking space at your disposal.
The Cote d'Azur is the area where the Alps and the sea meet, so be aware of the differences in altitude!
