We felt very welcome upon arrival. Glenn and Saliha are very kind people, and we appreciated the fresh flowers on the table and the bottle of rosé in the fridge.

Unfortunately, we quickly noticed a number of issues with the house. It was not properly cleaned before our arrival.
NONSENSE IT WAS VERY MUCH CLEANED BEDFORE YOU ARRIVED

There were many spiders, cobwebs and dust in the corners, behind furniture, and on the walls and ceilings. There were still clean dishes left in the dishwasher, as well as rubbish and a baguette stored in one of the cupboards. The kitchen cupboards were very untidy, with opened packages of spaghetti and rice left behind.

NOT DIRTY – THE PEOPLE BEFORE YOU LEFT A FEW PIECES OF FOOD FOR YOU TO USE.

The range hood was extremely greasy and appeared not to function properly, causing cooking smells to linger throughout the house. The electric kettle was heavily stained brown inside, and the top of the refrigerator had a strange residue on it.

SOMEONE USED THE FOOD OVEN ON TOP OF THE FRIDGE. HENCE THE PLASTIC TOP OF THE FRIDGE GOT A LITTLE BIT DISFIGURED . RATHER THAN THROW OUT THE FRIDGE, WE JUST PUT A COVER ON TOP AND WE MAKE SURE PEOPLE USE THE LITTLE OVEN PROPERLY.

The bathroom also contained many personal items, including partly used bottles of shower gel and even a used toothbrush.

THE USED TOOTHBRUSH IS WHAT IS USED TO CLEAN THE SHOWER, NOT FOR PERSONAL USE. IT WAS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE CUPBOARD WITH THE OTHER CLEANING MATERIALS. WE HOPE YOU DIDN’T TRY TO USE IT TO CLEAN YOUR TEETH.

The toilet seat was loose, and water leaked from the shower onto the floor between the shower and the washbasin. We also found hair in the shower before using it.

THAT IS A LIE. NO HAIR IN THE SHOWER. MY WIFE CLEANED IT THOROUGHLY. WITH THE OLD USED TOOTHBUSH. YOU AND YOUR FAMILY CRACKED THE FLOOR OF THE SHOWER, AS IT WAS NOT CRACKED BEFORE. PLEASE SEND THE MONEY TO REPLACE IT. ESTIMATE 600 Euros, INCLUDING LABOUR FOR INSTALLATION.

When we asked Glenn where the barbecue grill was, he handed us a grill that was extremely dirty, covered in burnt residue and rust. His response to our remark about its condition was disappointing: he simply asked whether we wanted to clean it ourselves and gave us a brush. Starting our holiday by cleaning the barbecue was not the experience we expected. A few days later, we noticed he had cleaned it, but it was still blackened, and by then we had already bought a cheap barbecue to use during our stay.

IT WAS JEROEN WHO HAD THE MISERABLE ATTITUDE. I JUST REACTED TO HIM.

YOU STILL MANAGED TO USE MY CHARCOAL FOR YOUR NEW GRIL, WITHOUT PERMISSION.. EVERYONE USES THE GRILL OUTSIDE AND LOVES IT. I WOULD NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT GRILLING AS A 3rd GENERATION VEGETARIAN WHO HAS NEVER GRILLED IN HIS LIFE

The garden offers several pleasant seating areas, but much of the outdoor furniture is worn out. The furniture near the barbecue is rusty and uncomfortable.

THERE ARE CUSHION PADS FOR THE SEATS BY THE BBQ. IT IS VINTAGE FURNITURE.

The terrace at the back is pleasant, but the parasol is unstable—we had to tie it to the wooden structure to stop it from falling over.

I WARNED YOU WHEN YOU ARRIVED THAT IT CAN BE VERY WINDY AND TO BE CAREFUL WITH THE UMBRELLA. THE UMBRELLA WORKS JUST FINE. AND YOU FOUND A GOOD SOLUTION FOR USING IT.

The chair cushions are old, dirty and damaged, with missing buttons and holes. The wooden decking could also use a fresh coat of paint. The wooden chairs beside the house were very dirty, and one had a screw sticking out. The bench overlooking the view looked old, dirty and unstable, so we did not feel safe using it.

STUPID COMMENTS. IT IS RUSTIC, AND EVERYONE MANAGES TO SIT ON THE BENCH SAFELY. OUR CUSTOMERS ENJOY THE AUTHENTICITY OF REAL FRENCH GARDEN FURNITURE.

Inside, we missed having a comfortable sofa for relaxing, especially if the weather had been bad. The house also felt quite humid, and there was no practical way to open a window for fresh air without insects entering. The Wi-Fi connection was unreliable, which was particularly frustrating with two teenagers and no proper television available, especially during the World Cup

WE SHOULD PROVIDE TV FOR YOU WHEN IT CLEARLY STATES ON THE WEBSITE THAT THERE IS NO TV? THE WIFI WORKS FINE. WE HAVE SEVERAL CUSTOMERS WHO CONDUCT THEIR WORK ASSIGNMENTS WHILST ON HOLIDAY USING THIS WIFI.

Fortunately, the pool itself was enjoyable and our children loved it. However, when the filter was not running, brown dirt quickly settled on the bottom. We also noticed several loose tiles around the pool and that the wooden decking in front of the pool cabin was in poor condition.

THE WOODEN DECKING IN FRONT OF THE CHALET WILL GET RENEWED IN THE OFF SEASON. AND

YOU WERE TOLD NOT TO GO IN THE INTERIOR OF THE CHALET, BUT YOU DID SO, AND LEFT A LIGHT ON IN THE CHALET BATHROOM.

THE DUST IN THE POOL IS FROM THE LOCAL FARMER PLOUGHING THE FIELD. YOU MIGHT HAVE NOTICED THAT THE LAND IS EXTREMELY DRY (NOTE THE WILDFIRES ALL OVER FRANCE AND SPAIN. SO THE DUST (WHICH IS IN EVERYONE’S POOL IN THE AREA) GRADUALLY GETS REMOVED IN THE POOL FILTER PROCESS. THE STUIDIEST COMMENT YOU MAKE IS ABOUT RUNNING THE POOL MOTOR MORE (YOU WANTED IT TO RUN NONSTOP) - YOU OBVIOUSLY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT POOL MAINTENANCE AND THE USE OF POOL MOTORS

We even found a few dog droppings in the garden.

THOSE FEW DROPPINGS ARE FROM THE NEIGHBOURS CATS WHO WILL NOT STAY ON HER PROPERTY BEHIND THE PROPERTY LINE. IT IS NOT FROM OUR DOG. WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE COUNTRYSIDE WITH NO ALARM WHEN WILD ANIMALS PASS BY.

The peace and quiet of this location is truly priceless and exactly what we were looking for. The beds were also very comfortable.

GOOD

However, because of all the issues mentioned above, we did not enjoy our stay as much as we had hoped and decided to leave three days earlier than planned. We rushed through the places we wanted to visit instead of enjoying a relaxed holiday.

SORRY YOU DID NOT ENJOY IT HERE. EVERYONE ELSE ENJOYS IT VERY MUCH -- STILL YOU WILL NOT RETURN HERE. AS YOU STATED, YOU LEFT BECAUSE THE WEATHER CHANGED.

At €930 for one week, we felt the accommodation did not offer good value for money given its condition. The house is in need of a thorough deep clean and maintenance in several areas before it can justify this price.

COMPLETE BS - YOU ARE THE ONLY PEOPLE TO COMPLAIN IN 9 YEARS HERE. YOU JUST LOVE MAKING A LIST TO JUSTIFY YOUR NEGATIVE ATTITUDES
